Hi, welcome!

It is so nice to have you here

My name is Kat Korobacz and I’m a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with BABCP accreditation and background working in NHS Talking Therapies and across various mental health sectors such as crisis teams or emergency services.
My practice is grounded in clinical skills, but also shaped by lived experience. What sets me apart is my focus on the nervous system as the core of healing. I blend CBT and evidence-based practice with a deep respect for each person’s internal world, history, and capacity of the nervous system. Within my CBT practice, I also integrate elements from third-wave approaches such as ACT and DBT-informed techniques, alongside somatic awareness, trauma-informed care, and insights from Schema Therapy — particularly in understanding deeper emotional patterns and unmet needs. My aim is to make these frameworks accessible and practical, helping clients feel more choice, safety, and self-understanding. I want people to not just feel better, but to understand themselves more deeply and walk away with real tools — to learn “how to fish,” not just receive one.

Working with me

Alongside my private practice, I work as a CBT Therapist in the NHS, specialising in working with individuals with complex emotional needs. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in High Intensity CBT from the University of Exeter and have worked in UK mental health services since 2016.
Over the years, I’ve supported people in a wide range of settings from NHS Talking Therapies — including crisis teams, inpatient wards (such as PICU), and emergency response services alongside ambulance and police.
In addition to my clinical work, I’ve held leadership roles as a team lead and Step 2 clinical supervisor — supporting both qualified practitioners and trainees, contributing to service development, and helping shape care that is sustainable, reflective, and meaningful.

Supportive Debriefing

Some roles carry a heavier emotional load than others. In healthcare, emergency services, and other high-pressure settings, intense or traumatic events are part of the work — but that doesn’t mean we’re meant to carry them alone.I offer gentle, trauma-informed debriefing sessions to help teams process difficult incidents in a safe, contained space. These aren’t clinical interventions or formal assessments — they’re moments to pause, ground, and begin to make sense of what has happened.I draw on principles from Polyvagal Theory, CBT, and compassion-focused work to create a supportive space where people feel seen — not assessed. In presence, we process. In connection, we recover. Support is part of resilience.

Feeling better clients' favourites

Here you’ll find a collection of audio practices, journaling prompts, and creative tools that my clients have found helpful — especially in moments of stress, overwhelm, or emotional shutdown.
These are light-touch, nervous system-friendly resources designed for real life — no pressure, no performance, just small ways to reconnect and feel a little more like yourself. They’re simple tools that actually meet you where you are — or when you need them most, in the moment.
Start where you are. Come back anytime. Because while tea is great, sometimes you need something a little more nervous system-friendly...

Testimonials

"Very happy with the service of care I received and have also told other people about the service if they are in need of help. I cant thank Kat enough for going the extra mile to make me understand and acknowledge my worries each week to feel better in myself."

"Kat was wonderful and exactly what I needed. I've suffered with anxiety for over 10 years and have had several therapy sessions, so part of me thought I might not learn anything new. Kat had some really interesting observations that were new to me and have really helped me think differently about my anxiety. She was able to explain things in a way that was easy to understand. I can't thank her enough."

"Kat was excellent from start to finish and her calm approach whilst providing me with useful cbt strategies to cope has been invaluable."

"I was really pleased with the treatment I got. At the start I was unsure about what to expect and uncertain about the value I would get but found that Kat treated me extremely well. She listened carefully, was very engaging and personable, and made sure she tailored each session to what I needed with lots of support documents to help me."

"Kat has been absolutely fantastic. I have had various treatment over the years and her help has been, by far, the best. She is a great listener, brilliant at explaining techniques and approaches, is always so well prepared, but could also change her approach depending on how I'd been feeling. Most importantly, she has so much empathy and compassion, I felt like she really cared about my wellbeing. I looked forward to talking with her every week for so many reasons. I feel like she has given me so many great tools going forward and I already feel so much better about managing my anxiety. I would really like to thank you Kat for all of the support and advice, because it has made such a difference in my day to day life, and I now feel so positive about the future."

"Kat has helped me a lot over the course of my 16 sessions and compared to other therapies/counselling I've received, I found it a more of positive experience. Thank you Kat for making me believe in myself again!"

"Kat was really helpful and made sure I was always safe when doing our sessions together and made sure that I understand everything we went through. She was very helpful and I defiantly see an improvement in myself."

"I feel I have made so much progress. I can't imagine how I would have coped with my anxiety without Kat's help. I am extremely grateful to you and feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to access this service."

The space I am offering isn’t meant to be a replacement for what’s out there — it’s what’s often missing.
Sometimes systems can only offer part of what we need.
I aim to offer what often gets left out: time, safety, attunement, and the space to feel like a person — not a problem to solve.
This is a space where your nervous system leads, your story is honoured, and nothing is rushed.
Simply from KOR to core – interventions that centres you.

I am here because you shouldn’t have to fight to be seen.
I am also here to tell you, you were never broken.
